Greetings folks, I'm ready for fitting the manual gearbox now, Nick Mann adapter, fidanza lightened flywheel, stage 2 comp clutch. All should be happy times, however...
Gearbox had been adapted for a push type clutch. The clutch slave was a heath Robinson looking 2 plate bracket thing with circlipped roll pins to the slave cylinder and clutch actuation arm. I have a standard clutch slave for fitting to return it to a pull type. 2 problems or questions arise tho. :quasi:

Hopefully a pic of the end of the arm. It doesn't have a dimple for the pushrod from the slave. Has the arm been changed?
2nd problem, should the release arm be the other way round or is this way correct? I'm vaguely aware that the shape/configuration of the shoulders that contact the release bearing is important? Picture attached to this message without fuss hopefully. Then edited as it hadnt..

No need to answer, grumpy process of elimination later and I could see the usual arm forks where they press the bearing were a different shape, and this one doesn't make contact with the bearing properly at all. So yet another payment to amayama and the customs and handling charges to look forward to. This car will be the death of me /Hissy
Sorry, Corin - not been online for a few days. The arm looks completely wrong. The normal arm not only looks different but also has springs that hold the arm and release bearing against the gearbox and away from the flywheel during installation. It is exactly the same on 5 speed evos from evo 4 to evo 9 which might make googling for an image easier?
