Radiator broken?

I noticed the state of my radiator whilst carrying out a different job on my V6. Now to me, this looks completely shot and I'm not quite sure how it is not pouring coolant all over the place. I don't get any overheating or coolant loss. What do you lot think?

Those missing fins aide with dispersing the heat. The coolant does not run through those The diagonal ones are where the coolant passes.

Looks like the AC condenser? Is that taken from the front of the car? If so the AC is in front of the main coolant radiator. This will cause poor AC performance / loss of refrigerant and will need replacing by someone with the kit for the AC system (oil, gas etc etc) - probably not worth doing unless the system is failing. I think condensers were available from Euro car parts for silly money.

^^^^^ What Jake said could also be true. It all depends on which angle the pic was taken. The radiator cores run top to bottom ( vertically )and the ac cores run left to right ( horizontally). The radiator is behind the ac condenser from the front of the car.

The image is taken front on with my phone in just behind the front bumper. The image was rotated 90 degrees automatically. More importantly, my aircon doesn't work, so I guess putting two and two together...that solves that!

get it leak checked, might not be condenser at fault mine looked like that (worse even)...
got mine refilled professionally, worked a bit for a few weeks then died.
refilled myself with the dreaded halfords air-con trigger bottle, worked ok for a year then sold car. Your mileage may vary ;)
My guess is the professional place machine had the wrong charge volume / pressures in its database or the system was so dry of oil that it took a while for the seals to tighten again.
