Can I benefit from.....

My toy is the 1997 EC5A and I was wondering if I could benefit from a boost controller? It has a Blitz timer on it that shows a peak BAR reading of .75 I think close to 11 psi.
Not looking for added boost but I am concerned about boost spiking as sometimes it feels like a ball tearer and other times more controllable.
Only just installed a boost gauge to keep an eye on things, not an easy task when you're flat out!

Also looking to test the O2 sensor but not sure where the connector ends up?
Anyone know where it plugs into??
