Hey guys. I have a 99 galant vr4 and it just started making this clicking noise when turning the ignition on, goes away after about a minute. Sounds like a relay or something. I believe it’s coming from this white box on the drivers side dash above the dead pedal. I think it says “calsonic 094” on it. Any idea what it’s for? Thanks

There is a fuse box in that area, do you mean that? I think there are relays on there too. It is known as the ETACS unit.
It didn’t look like a fuse box to me but again I didn’t investigate it thoroughly. Thanks for the info I will have to search up on the etacs unit then
Hey I did some digging and it appears to be part of the hvac system. The clicking noise only happens when the fan is set to the “face and foot” setting. As soon as I change it to another setting then the noise goes away. The clicking appears to be coming from one of the moving pieces above the dead pedal area that manually changes the airflow to the different positions. Not sure why it’s doing this , any thoughts? Thanks!

probably a broken blend door / gear on one.
not sure what to suggest sadly, other than keep it it on a non clicky setting!
