I currently have a 1.1kg/cm radiator cap that could do with replacing. Would it be worthwhile popping in a 1.3 cap instead?
I understand the higher rated cap will raise the boiling point of the coolant but would this be detrimental to the engine?
I'll be running a single turbo setup so expect things are going to get pretty hot.

It might put extra strain on the existing hoses, radiator end tanks (which on a standard radiator is plastic). If you have a bad rad cap, I'd replace it with a new OEM one - a lot of aftermarket caps don't always work properly and are pretty poor quality!

I did that ages ago and constantly changing old pipes to new ones and instead of do whole lot I have bursting little pipes 3 times luckily engine survived, so yes if you have ALL pipes, especially small dia ones for turbo cooling, new, if you on old pipes I would not recommend it.
