Ignitioin coil boots?
So after a while of owning my Legnum I noticed the rocker cover gaskets were shot, and replaced them. While replacing them I noticed the spark plug holes were filled with oil, and the "boots" (for the lack of a better term) of the ignition coils had swollen a bit. There's been no misfire issues or anything, and the coils themselves are fine. Is it possible to replace just the boots on these or would I have to replace the entire unit? If so, does anyone know where I could find some? I don't think you can get them direct from mitsubishi at least.

You are likely right.
I have a dead coil pack in the garage, so there's one!
You'll need to change the rocker cover gaskets to stop it happening again.

Oh I changed the rocker cover & spark plug gaskets already, but as I didn't have new boots I just stuck the old coil packs on. I might be looking at an engine rebuild due to a different problem so I'm looking at options for replacing the coils or boots as well.

Maybe this would be of use?

@Davezj - have you sorted a price for the coil on plug kit?

I've been looking into this very thread for a while, also spotted a similar one over on ozvr4. For now I'd rather just replace the boots (if it's possible!)
