VR4 Hopeful in U.S.A.
I hail from Lexington, Kentucky in the United States. My first car here was a Galant (which I loved), and I've steadily become obsessed with the VR4. In the States we're a few years out from the 25-Year import restriction for an 8th Gen VR4, but I'm doing my research now! More than likely I'll be pouring over the forums from here on out. Of course if there's anyone out there who lives in the U.S. and successfully navigated the import restrictions for an 8th gen Galant VR-4, please let me know!

/Welcome
Someone got one in the USA - I can't remember his username at the moment. He had it a long time ago, but I never heard how he achieved getting it there. Are there ways round it if you engine swap etc?

That would be Mante I think

Absolutely right! I'm glad someone has a better memory than me. ;)

back in the 80's you could remove just a few parts from the car, put them inside and then import to the USA as spare parts.

Is there more news/info on getting a 1997-2003 vr-4 legally into the USA ?
I moved to Atlanta a few years ago from The Netherlands and would like to get one, don’t really want to wait until they are 25 years old.
Thanks,
Paul.

They started making them in 1996 - that's only one more year!
There are several members in Canada, but I've still not seen many members from the USA.

Yes will be good to see the US onboard here more new members. Yes I agree nick just one more year.
