Hello
Just put the deposit down for a legnum. Picking it up between Christmas and new year. I had a 2002 Galant last year with only 30k miles. Just a 2.0 Single cam 16v 4G63. Cost me only £100. Bargain Still one of nicest cars to drive and I wanted a VR4 since I got it.
Now the time has finally came. Getting from a dealer. Full service, fresh MOT and a years warranty he's happy to stand by. £3,400. No underside pictures but its had full coating of waxoil recently. Had a few advisories on last years MOT but I can sort them myself as I'm a Mechanic by trade and fairly handy with Engineering. made my own upper rear arms for the 2.0 Galant when I bought it.
It's entirely standard Type S spec aside from the alloys. Going to be doing the generic caliper paint etc. All leather seating in good condition. Door cars and roof liner Immaculate too
Hoping to use the forum a lot for good and bad!
Is there any immediate changes or tweaks I should do that's known about to improve anything at all?
On a P reg was registered here in 2004.
Pic small, snipped it from Gumtree.
£300 a year fully comp insurance for myself and partner. Rather impressed as we also have a 2016 Mini that is 500 a year still.

Welcome to Club VR-4.
In standard form the car should be good fun to drive especially if you're comparison is a 2.0 Galant.
Upgrades are generally made to (in no particular order) brakes, exhaust, decat, remap, hard pipe kit, intercooler, BOV.
There's not much in the way of off-the-shelf upgrades for the car but there's loads on knowledgeable people on here who can help with any technical questions.

Congrats!
The biggest issue with a stock car is rust. That has killed more than anything else.
Enjoy!

Hi and welcome to the club.
We are a friendly bunch on here. It is always nice to see new members.
I am in North Uk, south Manchester.
How about you.
A rust free vr4 is a very rare beast indeed.
It looks like a COTY but I don't see any badges on the C pillar. Is it a pearl White black leather if so it will be a COTY (Car Of The Year) version no mechanical upgrades just nice cosmetic changes.
I love this combination.

Cheers for that info Davezj, never knew that at all. Seems well looked after with the paperwork with it. I'm Carlisle, Cumbria myself. The car is over in Newcastle. Still waiting for it's MOT refresh and then collect it. Hopefully in the next week.
I wanted one that had not being played around with and hammered. Not a massive fan of it's allows but they are round and on so that's life.

I think the alloys are Evo 7.
Picture is a bit small.
It looks like a pearl white. But they did come in a flat gloss white.

hi Welcome :)
stick your Chassis number in to the search on the site linked below and it will tell you what your car left the factory as.
Megazip site:
https://www.megazip.net/search?q=
Also worth doing a recall check, this is Mitsubishi Japan site through google translate. It will show what recall work was done and what has not.
You may also see some small round stickers on the rear screen which are there when recall is done.
Recall check.

PS you might need to put your info into the missy site and then grab the page and translate it to get the info!
