:D nothing finer.... sun is out, everyone is looking forward to jumping on a plane for a week or two on the beach...... in their favorite place.
nothing can go wrong, as long as you pack your needs !

That in itself is a bad enough start to a holiday...... but.. If Bex thought that was the end of her problems? "you ain't heard nothing yet" as the saying goes !

well.... here's the saga, as told to me by Becky on Saturday.
After arriving at their AI hotel & unpacking etc, it was straight down to the pool area & sunbeds. within 15 minutes of getting there, Liz said she felt unwell & was going to have a nap. she woke up shortly after, saying she was ok but soon fell asleep again. According to Bex, her mum looked awful...... ashen faced..... eyes rolling etc. she immediately ran to reception to get assistance. An ambulance was called & it was clear something was very wrong.
Becky then had to take Ava to the loo, & got stuck in there for 15 minutes until rescued !! When she got back to the pool, Liz was being given CPR by the paramedics !! Apparently her heart BPM was 30 when it should have been 70/80.
in the ambulance, Liz managed to whisper to Bex where her jewelrey was....... and her will !!!! moments later, Liz went into full cardiac arrest..... de fib required ! she technically died on the way to hospital ! The ambulance was diverted from the normal tourist A&E to the nearest private hospital where she underwent emergency hear surgery ! subsequently having a pacemaker fitted !
Our son, Dan flew to Palma for a couple of days to be with his mum. Later on, her sister Anita also went.
She is still in hospital awaiting the all clear to fly back.... sometime this week we hope, Anita will remain with her.
So.... instead of a week in the warmth of the med..... It's been 15 days in hospital ! & the current medical bill stands at £50,000 !!
Christ almighty Del! Glad she's pulled through. Will insurance cover all that?
Wow. I do hope she makes a full recovery.
My dad had a very slow heartbeat, it was discovered because he kept passing out and hurting himself. He had the pacemaker for many years and it made his life so much better.

I certainly hope she makes a full recovery and the little ones are not too traumatised by the events.
