1.8 GDI legnum fast idle
Hi guys,
How do I reset the idle on a 1.8 GDI legnum? it idles around 2200rpm sometimes more, sometimes less but not usually less than 1800, unless I put the AC on then it almost wants to stall. Actually it stalls quite easily when trying to back out the driveway. Is it a case of grounding something and manually setting the idle or is there a procedure for letting the ecu relearn its idle? or should I be looking elsewhere for the issue?
Cheers
Justin

Check BIS Screw or SAS setup. Next one is to check ISC motor? Probably only Plug of the ISC loose?

Just had similar issues on my vr4 fl leggy. Engine sounded very hissy, obviously an air leak of sorts. Found to be a cracked idle stepper motor. Bought a new one and put it on and a bit of improvement but still uneven idle and still sounded like a steam train. So brake cleaner bottle out and squirted all vacuum pipes ....... No change until a bit of brake cleaner got on the throttle body and hey presto perfect idle, turns out throttle body gasket has failed. New one fitted and all good! :)

Thanks guys, you steered me in the right direction. I found the TPS was loose and could be swiveled easily. Are these things like a 1g or 2g DSM? I ask because I have always used V-faq to fairly successfully sort out issues like this on my older 4g63 mitsis.
