what do you need to know?
It's a 4G63 powered car with 150hp, full time 4WD, 4 wheel steering (rear axle turns up to 3° to aid cornering). If it's a UK spec model it will not have A/C unless specified on purchase..
One of the members from a few years ago had one of these...
Lee - a great car and extremely rare! I had the standard 2.0 GLSi version (show in the 'My Garage' section of photos on my profile) for 17 years and 170k miles - never missed a beat. I only traded it in to get my latest 8G Galant.
Engines are the usual bullet-proof, if looked after. Car goes like stink (I once test drove a white Galant GTi 4WD 4WS before I bought mine at the time) and you will love it!
Problem areas, for corrosion are the front and rear valences where they can be pranged, however this model for sale (aside from the prang) has plastic bumpers, so no problem. Check the ABS light comes on when you put the keys in the ignition and goes out after the engine starts. No ABS light? Then the owner has taken the bulb out! My ABS light went on and stayed on. No amount of dealer investigation fixed the problem. A new ABS controller fixed it for 1,000 miles, then the problem returned.
Good luck - and see first if you can source the new front bumper parts before bidding! :-)
Cheers Philip for some great info. They do look like good solid cars. I like the sound of 4 wheel steering lol. Looks like a very 'chuckable' car
...must ...resist!
I do like the thought of having 1 of these /yes Looks a good starter car for an engine upgrade at some point also /Hmmm
Low miles on it as well. See the bidding has started on it...
