RPM & Speedo Rushing Automatic slipping no power

About 4 Days ago I flushed my ATF using Keiren`s Guide. I think the the amount of fluid that went in was 11Liters. Put in a new AT Filter(screw in type) and reset the ECU . have driven around 270-300 KM till now . Checked the fluid level today with the engine running transmission in N when COLD and it was very slightly less than the marked line on the dipstick

The Fluid That I used was Lique Moly Top Tec 1200 and also added the Lique Moly ATF Additive

But the car has been acting really weird since these 2 days. Abnormal Shifting A LOT of Slipping I mean A LOT of slipping
I would not say that the slipping has started to happen since the flush only it has been happening prior to changing the fluid that is why i did it in the first place

The speed gauge is also rushing. There is no wheel slip at all so i wont say the speedo is jumping because of wheel slip

The most dramatic change is when in Reverse there is almost no power

the car is doing 0-100 Km/h in around 10 Seconds

i would be really helpful if you guys would take the timeout and help me. I am also attaching some videos

Ill let another advise on that fluid/additive, i have no prior on it.

my initial thoughts are if the low-reverse clutch has worn out (or a sprag has let go)? it is used a lot in R-1-2 and sometimes in 3, in reverse it assists a much smaller clutch to transfer torque. in 1-2 it massively tightens the gearbox up. . clutch pack failure wouldn't explain the speedo tho i think? maybe a drive shaft is dead letting the final drive over-run till the viscous coupling transfers torque to the rear axle?

Questions:
if the cars in the air are all 4 wheels behaving normally?
does the car behave the same in tiptronic? low throttle? in 4th / 5th?
What condition was the fluid that came out and the drain plug magnet?
Do you know what the old fluid was?

More info needed. but dont panic yet, just avoid making it slip excessively for now till more is known.

In tiptronic the speedo behaves similarly but the acceleration is slightly better because the gear do not shift quickly as in the case of (auto mode)
Even if i am accelerating very harshly in auto mode the the first 3 gears shift very abruptly proper acceleration starts in the 4rth

4rth and 5th in tiptronic or auto are way better

the fluid was pretty dark but had a little tinch of red ..

the magnet had no large metal peace just a very thin blackish paste.

no idea what fluid it had previously

DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR ANY FURTHER.


Now that that's out of the way - we can start to look into what's happened... My guess is that the fluid and/or additive is incorrect for the vehicle, and has basically coated all the clutches with something that's very slippery.


Hopefully you can rescue it - I'd be dropping the fluid again, and replacing it with something we know works well... can you get Amsoil over there?

no amsoil here .. Just

1) Liqui Moly (any variant of top tec)
2) Mobil
3) Revenol
4) Honda DW & ZF

Also just to add the feeling that the car is giving me is something similar to what i was experiencing prior to the oil change (hence the oil change). but that would happen in like 1 out 20 times . it seems to happening every time now and is more severe

Chain Of Events

1) 4 Days Ago I had the Fluid Flushed
2) Drove back to home did not notice any changes may be slightly different shift points
3) Next Day Went to Office No change or anything worth mentioning
4) My brother takes it for a spin does some hard pulls (launches from zero) (which he tells me today :| )/pan ... brings the cars back
5) Next Day I notice some slipping I ignore it
6) Today I notice a some thing really weird shifting and the speedo jumping like crazy
7) i make the videos and write this post

I am really scared of the responses now

The ATF states that it meets Mitsi SP-II and III spec. The additive doesn't state much and could be a culprit. But if there's an underlying problem, there's an underlying problem! However, replacing the fluid again without an additive would be my next step, as mentioned above.

Hopefully, it is simple to sort!

Sometimes my car "flares up" the revs during a gear change, especially when cold.

However... I think maybe yours has more damage - maybe the old fluid was so damaged that it's started to lose its properties, and the new fluid/additive combo is the incorrect grade so has accelerated the slipping of some internal parts, or as Amonlym said, it could be a failure of another component.

He's suggested some good troubleshooting steps. Get the car up in the air with all 4 wheels free, check over every single driveline component, and make sure that you're getting proper driving of all 4 wheels.

Do.you know the history of the other fluids? Especially the transfer box? I would also check that.

I do agree with all of the things you guys are suggesting but the only 2 things that have happened in the last few days

1 my brother drove the car hard which broke some thing or clutches weared out
2 fluid changed bad fluid

I do have a spare transmission .. but that’s been sitting for about 8-9 months .. should I put that on and check ? Should I put new fluid in that transmission too
Lastly that transmission also has a scree on filter so this means that it will be compatible with mine ?

You need to check the part number of the gearboxes match to ensure compatibility. Something like W5A51EC6B for example. The W5A51 is common to all VR4s of our shape but the last few digits changed a few times and need to match.

Do you know where the part number is written ? Do you know the part number for the clutch pack set

I think you can see the part stamped onto the top of the box by looking down past the intake tubing. look for a shiny area about 1" by 3".

Clutch packs...
Google "W5A51 parts" and check a few of the results out. There is one kit out there that is not recommended, but I don't know which it was - worth knowing so you can check up before ordering anything tho.

Thank you for the part number match warning .. the part number of both the gear boxes ( currently installed on the car and the spare one) is the same ..I.e W5A513E6B ... should I replace the whole gear box (hard because everything has to come out )... or just the clutches and pressure plates(easy because if I have to follow the same steps as the wave spring upgrade guide ?

Btw do you have the partnumber of the following

1) wave spring
2) torque converter seal
3) transfer case .. drive shaft seal

So I just started my car after 3 days to take it to a mechanic and this happend.

No Oil Leak... ATF at proper level... it simply wont budge ...
