    Adjustable Cam Gears???

I have found some adjustable cam gears in USA which are designed for 1994-2004 Mitsi Galant 2.4L SOHC engine, they are 5 bolt camgears. They sell them seperately, but they say that for DOHC applications you can use 2 of them.

Do you think that these cam gears would go onto/work on the 6A13TT engine?. And how many bolts are the factory cam gears?

That engine is a 4 cylinder, so I would imagine you'd have big issues.

You'd be better to contact www.rpw.com.au about getting a mivec 6a13tt conversion - if you're really keen. If you do get a price, can you post it here, I'd be interested.

Why would I want to do a 6A13TT conversion when I already have a 6A13TT. These camgears that I found i want to know if they would go onto this engine.

    HI,
I thought the 1994-2004 Mitsi Galant 2.4L SOHC engine was the 6A12 non turbo v6 with single overhead cams. (94 seems a bit early though for the v6?)
I could be wrong, but if it is the case I would reckon there would be a good chance of these fitting, like you say it would depend on the bolt hole lining up.

The important word in Brad's sentence was Mivec.

ttvrvr4, I meant putting mivec cams onto a 6a13tt from a 6a12 mivec (the engine in an fto)

Louis, it is a 4 cylinder gdi engine, definately not a v6. The 6a12 is a 2.0 litre engine.

I think I will just get a custom made set of cam gears for the 6A13TT. I am not interested in putting Mivec cams into it, I was thinking of getting the factory cams regrinded. I just thought that these camgears might be the same size as the 2.4L SOHC ones so if I brought 4 of them then I could put them onto the 6A13TT engine. Would any of that RPW stuff work on the 6A13TT engine, there isn't even a 6A13 engines in the list, only 6A12 FTO engines.
