1/4 mile table

I like the idea of a 1/4 mile league table............while I am at the top of course! When I start dropping down I wont be so keen!

More space for members cars would be good too, and members photos so we could put faces to names/cars

I bought my VR-4, not for it's speed to 400m, 60mph, or top speed; I bought it for safe handling corners at speed. 1/4 mile times is simply a power/weight equation. There are many cars that can go faster to 400m then us, but not as many round corners at our speeds.

We should be promoting the cars handling over it's acceleration.

I can take speed recommended corners at 50% or faster speeds; whereas my last car could only manage 25% or faster.

Before we post a table, we should survey members as to why they bought their cars.

Top Speed,
Handling,
Good Looks,
Technology,

If you can go in hard, corner hard and come out even harder surely 1/4 mile INSERT INTO post VALUES (acceleration) times are hugely relevant!

I consider, tyres, suspension, drive, brakes more important. I would like to see a dragster go into and out of corners as fast as any of our cars.

Mid-range acceleration INSERT INTO post VALUES (i.e. moving out of a corner, overtaking, etc.) is also more important, and this is more a factor of torque not power, if I am not mistaken. To do these safely at speed you need to invest in the tyres, suspension and brakes.
