Any ideas?

I changed my front discs, pads and pins last week...

how old are they?

Has the car been stood somewhere for a period then used - they look as if they've been rust pitted

anthony - about 2 years/17k miles.

richy - the inside pad was seized in the caliper and wasn't really able to do much

The vee- no, only overnights and weekends. It started going bad when we were having lots of rain in february/march. Longest period of not being used is 2 days in that time.
