    Thumbs down MOT woes....

Put the car in for the dreaded MOT a couple of weeks ago.

As expected it failed good-style. Windscreen (fair-do's, a 6" crack), rear foglight fault (i knew about this weeks ago but forgot, buggerit). Also the following....

The local garage is having a bit of trouble getting parts to complete the job saying "it's because it's an import....blah, blah". Namely track-rod ends and a lower ball-joint.

Tho mine's an import I'm thinking they could use UK VR-4 parts.
Are these definitely the same as the official car?

    Mine's a 96 'P plate.

You may find out that the lower ball joint could be part of a recall

    It's already been done!

I re-checked with Mitzi UK and got word a couple of days ago. All that's outstanding is the heater wiring.

    ..erm.

Hang on a mo'..... Monday was my 1yr anniversary of VR4 ownership (not to mention about 5yrs previously lusting after one).

Ahh, somehow dipping into the pocket seems so worthwhile.

Which arm is it you need? the compression or lateral arm?
