Yep, I think I still have the standard calipers from my car, but I'd need to check with the guy who fitted my Brembos to see if they're still lying around his workshop. I'll give him a call and get back to you.

Hi Barry,
Yep, he says my old brake bits are in boxes in his workshop
Cheers,
Brian
what happening with them? you chucking them? :angel1:
i.e. can I 'ave 'em mate :-DOriginally Posted by BraindG
Hadn't given it any thought . If I'm going to get shot of them, though, I'd rather the whole lot went at once INSERT INTO post VALUES (not in the spares business ). Got front and rear calipers and pads, front discs INSERT INTO post VALUES (pretty good condition); rear discs INSERT INTO post VALUES (pretty much gone, IIRC); may have back plates, etc.. Can't remember. What did you have in mind?Originally Posted by BraindG

i need one bleeder pipe you know this pipe you unscrew if your bleeding the brakes?...
one got snapped when the caliper was lying around
i can imagine your reaction now.. one fecking bleeder pipe. your avin a laff!
Hate to see a mate stuck. Do you want the lot for the cost of the carriage? INSERT INTO post VALUES (and half a million reputation points ...
i wouldnt mind to be honest.. however if you had plans.. i.e. were going to sell them.. then its ok i dont mind.. however if they were gonna get binned then ill take them off your hands and pay the carriage...
cheers :$
Not the easiest things in the world to get rid of, Barry . I've offered them to three other peeps on here in the past but no-one ever followed it through
Easiest thing for me would be for you to arrange the carriage and just have your carrier collect from my mate's garage. Let me know if that suits.
Cheers,
Brian
or u could nip up on xmas when your up there
NO More VR4 for me, well ive still got the 6G
That would work too
Just a thought, Barry ... My car is a late '98 post facelift one - are the brakes the same as yours? :headsc: I seem to remember someone saying the Evo V/VI/VII Brembos that I fitted wouldn't fit an earlier car, so I wonder if my original calipers would fit your car OK? Or does it not matter if you're only looking for a bit off the caliper?
to be honest, i really dont know!...
but, its only a wee bleeder pipe.. cant really be that different..
i think :rolleyes5
will have a wee investigation
unless someone already knows?Originally Posted by BraindG

its the driver side, remember that whole side was taken apart so they could do the timing.. they also took off the caliper, which must have been kicked or dropped or something, cos the wee pipe is snapped.. :wow:
They really were a bunch of cowboys, weren't they.... Your poor car! :Cry1:
had a look today, do you mean the bleeding nipple? seems like its been snapped off, going to take abit of time to get the old one out if its the bleeding nipple, this shouldnt be very expensive to buy either.
yeah, tis the nipple - oooh-eeerrr
