Here is why we drink Vodka! ;)

At least today... there is a good reason to do so!

Finally, after 9 month of work on that project - it's coming to life... from a "virtual stage" (business plan, few pictures... etc.) to actually building it!

That means that in a space between Tokyo and London there will be a place in Russia (15 min by VR-4 from where I live in Krasnoyarsk) with a Racing Track (circuit) and a real Drag Strip... "RED RING" !!!

Took a few pictures of that place today :

Hope we will see something like this in future :

The fun part is - that small picture was done 1.5 years ago in a CorelDraw

I was looking for investors with a picture in hand and some ideas in my head...

Of course now I am part of the team, that makes it even more interesting...

Looks good Val. What is the length of that back straight then? And is that the part going to be used as the drag strip? If it is there'll be a tasty amount of rubber at one end!

As you can see there is 100 m of "dragstrip only" start area separated from main straight, most of the rubber build up will remain there... than there is 850m of total Drag Strip lenght, in addition to that threre will be a 100m of sand trap after that... So:

    30m start area + 402m + 420 for braking + 100 m sand trap.

The main straight from turn to turn is 3/4 of a km. Total lenght of the ring is 2km. That's for the Stage 1. By Stage 2 we can get it up to 4 km. Width of the main straight is 18m, smallest width on the ring is 12m.

It's 4500km from Moscow (to the east). Siberia. It's in Asian part of Russia actually.
... and no you wouldn't need a petrol tanker since there are fuel stations everywhere along the way... It could be done, but you should be crazy enough to even think about it!

Hmmm, well to Kemerovo is 4,193 miles from Nottingham according to google maps and would take 3 days and seven hours to drive there.

That'd be one hell of a Ring Trip!!
