Thumbs up 8 years old.... yet new??

The time had come for Carmel to buy a new(ish) car.

We wanted something small(ish), economical and Japanese.

We saw a nice little colt at auction yesterday but decided to only buy it if it was cheap. The thing had 78000 miles and showed wear and tear. (Can't stand them myself)

However today we test drove and bought T reg Nissan Almera..... before you start throwing things at me please let me explain.

    Con's:

    It's a Nissan Almera.
It's bland on a good day.
    It will drop in value.
    It's a Nissan Almera.

    Pro's

It has 25004 miles on it (Yes you read that correctly)
It looks and drives like new. (If a bit gutless)
Full Nissan main dealer History (Last service was 3 months ago and milage is recorded so the milage is genuine)

I have owned a load of cars in my 10 years behind the wheel, and this one while gutless and bland was actually nice to drive and is perfect for Carmel.

The best part is however the Price!! £2000

Well at least Carmel is happy!

I got an Almera for my wife 12 months ago and apart from a sticking throttle( which they suffer from) its been fine , only complaint is rear view vision when reversing, not that good.

    Building a colleaction!!

This was a spur of the moment purchase.

The plan is that I drive the Lancer and Carmel the Almera.

I do at least 80 miles a day and don't want to Kill the VR4 or my wallet for that matter.

Furry muff Wouter... I did wonder after you said you weren't putting the LPG in your car. You must be spending you wages in fuel getting to work.
