    Mitsubishi dealers (Feedback Here)

Since we all want a decent reliable place to have our services and other maintenance tasks done, here is the place to make note of bad experiances only.

Please be fair and take into account that a simple problem is what it is.
If you have reason to really have a moan please let it be known so others aren't caught out too.

    No conversation here please.

I booked my car in for a basic 4,500 miles service 3 weeks or so ago, but just before it was due the mechanic was off sick that day so fair enough I had to re-book.
The guy on the phone was excellent, as we came to an arrangement easily, I had a trip booked to go away for a week and the service had to be done of my warranty was at risk so we arranged a time to squeeze it in.. excellent.
Took my car in today to find they now can't service the car because it was Ralliart and they don't do that anymore there as they have decided to concentrate purely on basic Mitsubishi and Seat... as of 3 WEEKS ago!!! so why didn't anyone tell us they had stopped servicing Ralliart or better still why didn't they arrange to book the car in elsewhere for us!! they knew very well it was a Ralliart vehicle.
I had a job sheet and everything, listed AYC top up etc and yet their machine and expertise is no longer.

Phoned Red Zebra the warranty company to tell them the situation and they made a note on the system of the problem and advised to re-book the car in as soon as and it will be okay.
Last thing I wanted was to be abroad and something fail and not be covered by warranty.

    All Electric Mitsubishi, Harbourne, Birmingham.

Replaced a couple of damages studs on my V6-24. Great service, but a month later when I wanted to take the wheel off, I realised that the locking wheel nut key was not in the car. I went back to them and was given the cold shoulder. "There is no proof..."

Needless to say, they have not been used since.

Is this the same ALL Electric that does Hyundai? A friend took his car there for a service, they came up with a list of faults and wanted £800 to sort them.........I did it for him for under £100!! I wouldn't mind but they wanted to replace a whole light unit because a £0.50 bulb had blown....80 f11ckin' quid!

Not sure. There are a couple of garages there - Both All Electric - but I don't know which marques they cover. Definitely Mitsy and Rover - not sure what else.

Gallagher's Mitsu in Warrington are useless, well at least the service manager is. I wanted to know if my alarm was working right, the most constructive thing he could do was say "You just press the button" and shrug. Makes me want to spit.

Why I am not surprised that when the poll came out the local mitsy dealer in torquay was well down the ladder at a score of 2.63, even Rogers of Plymouth done better than that with 3.38, just slightly behind Mitsy Motors Cirencester with 3.40...jeez they should have been top dog....

Dont know if we should too much store by this, its puts Poole Mitsy about 2.4 or something yet southgate a 4, yet i found southgate totally dis-interested yet Poole Mitsy very helpful and work to a good standard.

Ware garage gets mixed views from ppl on 'the Register'.
They are rated quite high on the list, and I have always found them to be helpful and informative. They are well aware what a VR4 is..
The only things so far that have made me peeved about the place are the prices :rolleyes5 and their lack of willing to help regarding gearbox trouble.

The service manager, whom I quite respect, just said..

"Sealed Tiptronic Box... We don't touch them here..."

But he did give me the no. of a specialist, which I chose to ignore...

Moan maon moan, sorry chaps but I must have a moan about my local mitsy dealer - Norwich.

Today I went into the service department to see if I could buy the little rubber bit on the remote key fob which has perished and snapped. The non polite service guy (obviously P*#st off with being in on a Saturday) told me that Mitsubishi will only sell the complete unit costing £50 – yah right I want to spend £50 on an 8p rubber part and also advised me to drill the end of the fob so a split key ring can be placed through.

Firstly I have two m8s with Mitsy’s one went to the same place and they gave it to him for free (must have been a nice Mitsy chap – not part of the dark side like the t#@t I bumped into today) and another that walked into a different dealership who stocked the part and gave it to him free– who is telling porkies? Can you actually buy this part or is the dealership near me a bunch of w@#$ers?

Please do not get me wrong – I am totally willing to pay cash for this, but come on £50 – this is Mitsubishi not Aston Martin.

    Please leave comments here:

Also please feel free to have a bash at your local Mitsy dealer ----

----- the unfortunate thing about this is, that my Mitsy needs a service and I was actually going to book it in at the same time but after being bitten by this A£$&hole I do not want my car anywhere near that garage – so if you know a local Mitsy dealer in the Norfolk area please let me know.

I did a stupid thing last week, a side light bulb went and i couldn't get it out and it was pooring with rain so i shot up to Mitsi stealer and asked them to do it for me, it took them 5 mins and they decided to renew the other side without asking and charged me £17.88. The bulbs were 80p each. I think they have just lost a new customer.

    Angry

Local dealership in chesterfield are, on the whole, useless.
For starters their computer system has never heard of a galant!
"is it a carisma?!!!" WHAT? F*CK OFF!!!!!
Second, the MOT picked up play in steering rack. took it to Mitsi and they quickly, but not so quickly as to avoid charging £58 labour, diagnosed the need for a new steering rack
"That comes to £3000 plus fitting and VAT, and we keep your old one"
At this point i had had the car a month.
Then it went back to my regular mechanic, and we found out it needed...
    ....
    wait for it......
    ....
    a new track rod!
    cost £56 plus £20 fitting!
That was Gordan Lamb Mitsibishi. They own about 6 main dealerships in chesterfield, which does lead me to believe they are more interested in becoming a monopoly than being a reputable dealership.

My regular mechanic is Stewart at Derby Road service station.
    Well recommended!!!!

I totally sympathise with you – my whole steering rack and more was replaced by my local garage (Wymondham) – this cost me approximately £130 V Mitsy Norwich quote of £640 ish (same parts ironically local garage brought them from mitsy Norwich)

At the same time I had the down pipes replaced:
    Mitsy (Norwich) quote: £520
Mr Clutch (Norwich) quote: £360 – who owed me a favour
Local Wymondham garage £320 (Done) – specialised down pipes only from Mitsy (in this case they came from Mitsy Norwich)

On a side note, about 4 months ago I decided to do an oil change – brought synthetic oil (not cheap) then went to specialist centre in Norwich to get K&N oil filter, only to find they have stopped selling K&N because of leaking problems and advised me to go to Mitsy. I went to them on the way home and purchased an oil filter (£8) or less. Got home opened the box – opppps no sump plug washer (now every time in the past I have ever brought an oil filter for any other car it comes with a washer in the box) drove back to Mitsy Norwich (20 mile round trip) waited half an hour to complain and was then told I had to pay 21p + VAT for the washer.

    a) why didn’t they tell me the 21p washer wasn’t included 1st time round
    b) why did it take him 10 mins to clarify the make – model – year – etc just to get a 21p washer.

After I complained I then asked if they had a spare rubber bit for the key fob and was told it would still cost me £50

I am totally dissatisfied with the customer orientated attitude Mitsy has adopted with their ex customers.

I hope I am on my own with this one – but I suspect not – most main dealerships nowadays appear to be employing nannu nanuu’s to make a profitable business.

Cheap non-knowledgeable staff working on our cars, makes more profit.

And on that note I have said enough (for now……..)

    Slim
