In the last 5 years since arriving here in NZ from Scotland I have owned...
    92 MR2 G limited - lovely car in silver/grey
95 Subaru legacy - only owned it for a few months before it was stolen! Never really liked it though!
96 Legnum - 2 litre V6 = auto with tip but very economical and never had to spend a cent on it. Nice in silver. Too low though!
87 Ford courier flat deck ute with Mazda 2l petrol engine - very handy and held its value well (had to sell the legnum to fund trip back to Scotland).

and now a 96 legnum vr4 - best of the bunch. It is surprising the number of owners of MR2's that have upgraded to the vr4 - both great cars to drive although the MR2 was definitely more economical - lol.

Prior to that in Scotland - a 98 Seat Ibiza Cupra Sport GTI and a late model Escort. Always wanted a quick Sierra though!
I can pass anything on the road but a petrol station!

Drive it like you stole it!

Have had quite a few company cars but will show the list of only of the ones I actually bought, and there are some strange choices!!

    1. Mini van with side windows and rear seat - was really Mum's but had it for a few months till I bought the next one
    2. Ford Corsair. Had this for years and loved it to bits. My parents hated it, as all my money used to go on it! Probably did well over 100,000miles in it and it was modded and rebuilt and modded and modded!! Eventually ended up with ye ole 3.0 V6 in it.
    3. Volvo 144s Big solid tank
    4. Volvo 144GLE, now this was nice, metallic, leather, fuel injection, alloys. Got written off when rolled three times near Cannock on yhe M6. Three of us in the car, my "mate" was driving. Every panel damaged and when it lept up in the air, it landed on the left corner above the windscreen and I was in the passenger seat. We all walked away from this and all I had was a broken collar bone. Hence..............................
    5. yep a Volvo 244GLE similar spec but the later model with the shovel front. Beautiful build, but rather slow
    6. Maxi 1750HLS. enough sais - well, I was buying a house!!
    7. Ambassador Vanden Plas. Totally under-rated car. Only thing that let it down was they still used the old BMC 4 sp box. Challenge? - yep!! Even Rover peeps at Longbridge were flabberghasted when the bonnet was opened and there was a Rover M16 with a 5 speed box sitting there!! That was probably the biggesst / hardest Mod I ever did. Was awesome to drive and one of the funniest moments was "p"ing off 2 BMW 5 series whe were themselves having a chase!!
    8. AUDI 90 quattro. This car did everything, towed the caravan, went abroad, raced at Combe etc. Has even made an appearance at a CVR4 meet. 21 years old when I sold it to a guy at work earlier this year (with some regret now)
    9. Galant 2.0 V6 GLS - very nice and quick incredibaly high revving but no torque below 3000. Hence not the best tow car I ever had!! Lovely looker but always fancied the 8G which came out not long after I got this.
    10. Here she is...............Galant2.5V6....................an d we all know what's happened to this one!! Had it nearly 6 years now and suspect it may well be around for sometime yet.
    11. Fiesta 1.25 Ghia. Well, what can I say? It gets me to work and back while the 8G keeps the miles off resting in my garage!! Smallest car I have ever owned (apart from Mum's Mini!). Ironically, this little shed holds my best time from here to Plymouth 8G eat your heart out!Just one of those traffic free journeys with a very high average speed. To be fair, not a bad car, but already suffers from a little wheel arch grot at the rear. - rust bucket!!

So, for an ole git, not many cars, but I do tend to keep them a while (except the Maxi - six months!!) But of course there have been as many or more Co. cars such as Saabs, Rovers, Mitsu,s and all sorts.

1: Renault 5 - 1.0 - White - first car, nearly rolled it on the first day I owned it
2: Ford Escort MkII - 1.3 - Orange - mint condition, got stolen and written off
3: Ford Capri - 1.6 - Beige - great fun, loved owning it, rebuilt after accident - hit someone up the ass at about 40mph
4: Renault Fuego - 1.6 - Silver - my first quirky car, didn't last long as diff went
5: MG Montego Turbo - 2.0 Turbo - brilliant car at the time and loved it, got stolen and used as a getaway car in a burglary and then written off in an accident during a police chase
6/7/8/9: MG Montego (non Turbo) - 2.0 (silver, green, blue, black) - insurance premiums after (5) mean't a downgrade to non-turbo - loved these cars hence why I had four of them
10: BMW 318i - 1.8 - Black - full body kit, leather interior, ss exhaust, new alloys - had several issues though so ended up selling it, also worried about it being stolen
11: Audi 80 Sport - 2.0 - Silver - tank of a car, no PS, had oil pressure problem so traded it
12: Mondeo MkI GLX - 2.0 - Black - decided to be sensible for a while
13: 6G Mitsy Galant GLX - 2.0 - White - loved the car, only replaced one item in a year (a bulb), sold for deposit on new house
14: Ford Granada Ghia - 2.8 - Black - used a gallon of fuel to start it but loved the car, great fun on motorway as people just pulled over to let you by as they thought it was an unmarked police car !
15: Honda Prelude - 2.2 Vtec - Silver - awesome car, mint condition, sold to a 60yr old lady
16: Montego Estate - 2.0 - Red - temporary work horse that leaked water through the sunroof
    17: Mazda 626 GLX - 1.8 - Silver - boring but reliable
18: Honda Accord - 1.8 Vtec - Blue - left VW so bought as a temp runaround
    19: Saab 900 - 2.0 - Red - always fancied a Saab, but underpowered so sold after 2 weeks
20: Saab 900 - 2.0 Turbo - Grey - great fun but terrible torque steer and Shaz hated it
    21: Jaguar X-Type Sport - 3.0 - Silver - (still own) - superb in every way !
    22: Galant VR4 (Trigger Mauve) - 2.5TT - sold to Kevin at AP......say no more !
    23: Galant VR4 (Black) - 2.5TT (still own)

I still think I am missing a couple
I think that's all of 'em mate

Well done for remembering them all

Think you had the silver non-turbo Montego before the white turbo one though ... I still remember how quick that turbo Montego was ... it was the first seriously quick car I had ever been in!

    The cars I have owned:

    1) 98R Finesse Green Galant 2.0 GLS estate
    2) 01X Roanne Red Galant 2.4 GDI Elegance estate

    Sensing a theme here?

Other cars I drove for significant periods:

    1) 972cc 12v 3-cylinder vauxhall corsa - learner car. No torque = good clutch control. The day after I passed my test, however, I started in:
    2) Mitsubishi Shogun 3.0 V6 LWB. Going straight from the corsa to this, I swore that never again would I drive something so bereft of torque and power as the corsa was.
It's been a crazy year, But through all the damage done,
I have turned and I have learned, To make next year a better one,
    Singing Oh Hallelujah,
    Singing Oh I am home.
