    Brands Hatch yesterday

well, bit the bullet and took the legnum on track yesterday, Brands hatch open pit lane all day !!!

Great circuit, great weather. Had a few issues with finding the cars balance at first, but got the car flying round by the end of the day. Even with Brembos the brakes were smoking after 20 mins, though I have got standard discs n' pads.

Alot of the track day regulars use Toyo R888 tyres, which they say are the only way to go, but I've heard they're rubbish unless dry and hot.

Pics were from another guy, Clio owners mate I think. I originally booked to take the Camaro, but still having some work done, so ended up taking the Mitsi by default !

VR4 on track is interesting, I thought it would be quicker on the bends, especially as mines got Tanabe's, lowered a bit, decent tyres etc.

The Caterhams, Radicals and most other trackday cars were noticably quicker than me into the bends, but I seemed to be able to get the power on coming out better than many.

definately bitten the bug though, immediately came home and started looking up other trackdays. Dec 15th at Snetterton is £99 for Open pit lane,
    WHOLE DAY !
