"Boy Racer" accident in Glen Eden last night

well here is my rant.....
all day i have been hearing of this accident of "2 boy races racing through Glen Eden and hitting a delivering man, killing him". it want until now on the 6 oclock news that they have said that no, they were not racing. they had an argument before hand and punches were thrown. they were speeding coz they wanted to scrap.

i feel sorry for the family of the delivery guys family and i think the people involved are complete **** wits but yeah, once again, its all about the "boy racers" again. now once again the cops will be out inforce pulling us over coz of our exhausts and what not just because a wrx and a skyline were involved in an accident. if it had been exactly the same situation but involved 40 something dude in there holden, it wouldnt of probably made the news!

i saw a little of campbell live... mrs made me change to king of the hill coz i was bout to throw my beer at the tv...that dude in nelson is a complete and utter *****r! im sure the old stuff that was around when he was still beating off to farmers catalouges were ALOT louder than the cars we have around now!

I think the term Boy Racer is a bit silly. For example the two men arrested for this latest incident are 28 and 35. Those aren't boys, by any stretch of the imagination. It is just pople being idiots on the road, and that can apply to people of any age, or sex, including middle aged men who drive V8 Holdens, who are possibly the worst bunch of drivers around!

But my HZ was my baby for 19yrs ex cop car with 5lt V8, shame it was crushed due to being rideled with rust.

Really? I was just a bit peeved because over the weekend I was cut-off by a dude in a Commodore SS. Almost hit the back of him.

Actually, I am 34 and used to drive a BMW 540i - 4.4L V8. I love V8s actually.

My comment was really about older guys who drive big aussie V8s and believe they are superior drivers, but actually drive as badly as the typical teenage boyracer. Anyway, sorry - probably many VR-4 drivers are just as bad.

hip hip hooray for the media... boy racer deaths are few and far between. they just get publicised to the bone by the media since it "pulls in viewers". I wonder if boy racers would even exist if the media didn't.

we have the same and it spoils it for honest moders
