when he gets a £250,000 sellers fee invoice through his inbox, he'd wish he never did it in the first place

this was my thought, he is going to have to pay one of the bid fees.

isn't the rule that you can withdraw the you last bid as long as it is aggreed with seller but then the next highest is the winning bid and they have to stump up.

    What a Di*k!

    Bye for Now!

Yeah thats how it works. The auction has ended and obviously the winning bidder must be either his mate or an auction wrecker, either way they obviously won't pay but ebay will invoice him for the listing and sellers fee. He would have to pay up otherwise debt collectors will come knocking on his door. The process of going through a "transaction dispute" i.e. where the bidder doesn't pay can take a while and only then the sellers fee is taken off but he would have to pay the fees first anyhow.

The winning bidder has not been receiving much feedback for the last year or so, whereas previously to that he was getting feedback several times a month.

If that person had just bought from me I would be a bit concerned, even if it was for a sensible auction!
