how easy or difficult it would be to insert a 6G72 from the MMC 3000GT into a Legnum or Galant? You know, the 300PS one

It would be pretty hard Have had a look at this a couple of times with different cars and the 6G72 is pretty big size wise
I dont think there isnt all that much room under the acre-sized space they call a bonnet in the GTO...
How come the US 8G Galant had the 3.0L 6G72 as an option then?
Ryan - not much point. The engine is a lot bigger and heavier. Furthermore it points around the wrong way, so NOTHING will bolt up. You'd need custom everything.
Robotnik - they are different cars. Suspension, engine bay, steering, everything is completely different apart from the door panels and roof panel! Honestly thats about it!
coz they didnt get the 6a13ttOriginally Posted by Robotnik123
that and theres is a SHOC 6g72 N/A FWD

Ah right - so it's a longitudinal... Yeah, far too much effort.Originally Posted by bradc
No i think it's Transverse like the 6A13Originally Posted by Ingletor
But the other transverse
I didn't say that! Still transverse, but the engine and gearbox are flipped around.
edit - wodj beat me
Not as bad as tyring fit a Longditudinal thats the other way aroundOriginally Posted by bradc
would be worse if it was longitudinal and the gearbox ended up pointing through the radiator
Porsche 911 engine anyone?

I had them exact same thoughts
I was thinking that hmm if one had a 3000GT you could try out an 8A80 with a pair of twin scroll EVO 6.5 turbos
Comparison,
VR4 engine
6A13 non turbo,
Still here somewhere........
The GTO engine is a 6G72, not a 6A13
could poss go into a diamante?
I think some people in Aussie have done that
Doh...yes your right, getting my engines mixed up. i need a for that
