Look at the state of my intake seal...

Had the VR-4 serviced by Nick a few weeks ago, and he spotted that my intake seal was very dodgy.

Been driving around without pushing the car since, but after the short sessions on Trax, I completely trashed the seal. The day after Trax, I put my foot down as I was entering a dual carriageway to join traffic and the car spluttered really bad. As soon as it did, I knew the seal had gone! Anyway, opened the bonnet and the intake pipe had popped off completely. Managed to get the seal clamped down just enough but I suspect it was still leaking the last few days.

So, got a new (well, used) seal from Mr Muppet-Baiter and fitted this afternoon, and the car feels SOOOOO much better. No danger of seal popping off again now. Cheers WODJ

Anyway, pics below - you can tell which is which

1997 Mitsubishi RVR HSGR : 2.0 4G63T, 4 seats and the seating position from a truck
2009 Ford Mondeo : 2.2TDCi, 4 wheels, some plastics, some metal and some seats

    That's great John.

I can get it off you at JapFest, if you do have it.
