HELP!!!!!!!!! How to change the gearbox oil in my Legnum

got i think major problem with gearbox (read other thread) for info..
Now to drain the gearbox oil !! anyone out there can give me info thanks..

I agree..!!! Worth every penny but just been made redundant..so cant afford at the mo. Single dads have a lot going for them except money lol. Was gonna do it a few weeks ago but when we heard' i thought priorities come first....Then this has happened what a ???? guess what i'm saying now lol...

replace and flush with Dexron III, using K's guide - run for a couple miles to check the gearbox isnt fubar'd

if its ok - replace with mitsi ATF or amsoil - sorted!

Normally Dexron III isn't ideal for the boxes but considering you've just had gear oil in the gearbox and probably killed it anyway, I don't see much point in spending a lot of money on the correct oil. You just want to drive it very briefly anyway to see if it is ok, then go and get the real oil.

thanks for the info guys..I did try to get the right oil for..what i asked for was mitsubishi sp2 or 3, amsoll or motul multi atf...dont use dextron.. (these were the words i used in ever carshop here. Nobody sold any of the stuff. The last shop i went in looked in a book and couldn't find a legnum so looked at the galant same engined version and said this is the stuff to use...........Now found out that its not the right stuff and the gearbox could be shot at..CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE TO DRAIN THE GEARBOX AND HOW>>>THANX GUYS....
