    Removing trim tape. How?

Decided to remove the wind deflectors, mainly because they had started to come loose.
The only problem is how to get the glue and remaining tape off.
Tried warming with a hairdryer and using tar remover, it works but is very slow.
Anyone know of a quicker method.
    Thanks

You could try a razor blade and some nail varnish remover but be careful

It works, and it's slow. Don't think there is a quick way to remove it properly mate. Just keep at it.

Will you be looking to refit them? Or sell them? I think there would be some demand if you wanted to sell.

Not sure about refitting them, seems quieter without the wind noise they make.
I'll try the nail varnish remover, and maybe a grinder if I get fed up.

I've tried several things. Only good thing was using my nails and acetone (which is the base ingedient of nail varnish, but I think it's 'pure' better and cheaper than nail varnish). Be extremely carefull with the deflectors as they're easy to break... (as I've found out).

buy a can of lable remover, i used this to de badge the car its perfect stuff, i would imagine all stationary places will sell it, staples whs smith etc etc.

We use it for removing asset lables off PC's and whatever other random stickers have been stuck on there.

spray on, have a brew and a fag, then you can just rub it with a finger nail it should peel right off

I did it for the VR4 and mitsu badge on the back, it took two or three sprays and scrapes but it removed it cleanly and fully.

label/decall remover worked sh*t for this stuff... for badges and decalls/stickers it does it's job but for this goey, semi-hardened-out crap you'll want acetone.

Got the deflectors off no problem, used a stanley knife to cut through the tape while pulling away from the door. (gently)
Then used a small craft knife to carefully scrape the excess glue off.
Just need to find some acetone to get the rest off.
Anyone know where acetone can be purchased?

Tried some Tesco value nail polish remover.
Works a treat with plenty of elbow grease.
Still going to take a while though.
