I'm new too [just signed up a few minutes ago] and I've got an E39A in the UK too - mine isnt quite as exciting, but it's a GTi 4WD 4WS so pretty much as rare if not rarer than the VR4 [in the UK at least] and still good fun to drive [it does still have the non-turbo 4G63 DOHC, afterall !!]
