Pre-facelift MMCS Conversion

Is it possible to convert the MMCS system in pre-facelift Legnums? From what I'm told its possible in facelift models, I can't seem to get a solid answer on pre-facelift models.

You mean translating the MMCS into english? Then no its not possible...

If you mean transplanting MMCS into a non-MMCS car - yes it is possible but, WHY? Ive had more issues with my MMCS than I havent.. lol

you will NOT be succesfull installing MMCS into a NON unless you relay a COMPLETE new DASH Loom,L/H Loom and L/H Kickpanel sidewall loom,otherwise there will be no powering up of thh tv as the non does not have the correct plug for it

I'm referring to converting it to English, apologies for the confusion.

If its not possible to convert it to English, is there a complete system that you can replace it with that will control the aircon etc. properly? How functional is the system as it is (i.e. not in English)?

You could convert it to Non-mmcs, however that is almost as bad as converting it to mmcs, you would need a hell of a lot of wiring to get there... Is a big job hence why I havent done it...

It is still functional, the layout is self explantry, just needs a few tries to work it out completely.

When did they change the mmcs? I mean from 4:3 to 16:9.

Because i had a facelift mmcs in my pre-facelift car and it was standard.

if you want to get rid of the MMCS system you do NOT need to Do anything with new wiring at all Jeremy... the car already has the plugs to use for the standard climate control system,there will be a few plugs obselete but they wont affect anything at all

yes it just means changing to the widescreen and maby the navi unit in the boot
