How much does it cost to have a car in UK?

There, in Russia, it's not so expencive to have a car. You should pay a yearly tax (for VR4 it would be $1300), based on quantity of HP and you must have an insurance (around $300 per year). Gasoline costs around $0.7 per litre.

And how much does it costs to have a car in UK?

less tax than yours, similar insurance but its the fuel here thats the killer,

in $ i guess its around the $1.70 mark

    Tax at £190 per year
    Insurance £350-500 per year

Wish we had as good a deal on the fuel as you guys do!
    Still here somewhere........

    Road tax - about $300
MoT (annual test) - about $60
Insurance - depending on age and can vary wildly, but maybe $750

    But the killer:

Super Unleaded petrol - $2.00 a litre, roughly.

So driving about 10,000 miles (16,000 kms) a year costs about $4,500.

Plus costs of parts, servicing, etc.

The £190 tax figure is only because the VR4 is an older or imported vehicle though. The current tax regime would put a new VR4 sold now (as indeed EVOs are) at £435 per year, plus a one-off tax on purchase of £950.
It's been a crazy year, But through all the damage done,
I have turned and I have learned, To make next year a better one,
    Singing Oh Hallelujah,
    Singing Oh I am home.
