Fibre-glassed up adds to strength, cut out centre section.
    Build bridge in centre.
    Sand, sand and more sanding...
    Prep for spray
Spray 4 coats light sanding between each.
Add mesh and more carbon rods..

    So you like?

For those who don't have easy access to fibre-glass material, if you dont care how it looks too much on the underside you can strenghthen up the cracks by adding a layer of superglue & baking-soda behind them

Mean trick I learned for repairing motorcycle fairings, get some cheap superglue and pour it over crack, then dump backing soda over it, sets into a thick-ish slightly flexible plastic-like (obviously opaque) material. Works great for plastic cracks, and suprisingly strong too. Give it a try on home on some random bit of plastic.

Considering doing my engine cover up now whats to bet the club is going to have a spike in repaired engine covers!

Nice work. I've done the same super glue trick, but used talcum powder instead.

Don't actually mind doing them for others but you guys would have to provide the materials...
Bear in mind that each of the 1.5m carbon rods cost about £4, then the isopon p40, ali mseh yadda, yadda...

I learnt a long time ago from building RC Aircraft from plans not to use substandard materials. Spent three weeks build a plane only to have it quit on me mid flight!!!!!!!

Some of the planes that I have built.
    " >" >

Each of these planes were either bought as construction pack or I already had the plans.

The Glider, Orange Pylon racer, 3 by the car were all plan models. I had the paper plans, and went and bought wood, get the idea

The orange Rat Pylon Racer would hit speeds of about 100mph 10ft of the deck. Stupid fast...
So you can appreciate the need for quality products.

I also have One of these

    Well enough said I think
