    Welcome Paulie.

Thats a stunning finish on a Trigger Mauve. Very shiny Looks lovely with the big wheels

I notice no sign of tinted glass on the car? Thought all VR4s had tinted glass?

Notice how the wheels actually match the wheel arches? That is because he knows what size wheels to buy and doesn't run on 40-something offset wheels
If I'm replying to your thread and helping you out, it is because I like you and want to help out your VR-4 ownership. No other reason

Another vote for the wheels here!

As your car details currently read "Hopefully a Galant" did you sign up here before buying?

Hope you have many happy ownership moments.

    cheers guys,

the wheels seem to be a big hit with everyone i think i chose well lol

yup, i had joined previously to gather info about vr4s when i was lookin to buy. now i figured i'd return and say hello.

(and i managed to gather all my info without making one n00b thread, so there is hope for forums round the world lol)

i actually laughed when i read brad's post, my wheels 18x8.5+35, they're pretty agressive, but could be slightly more aggresive (new wheels coming, 9"+30). i guess i could be labelled as one of the "offset natzi's" from ozvr4...id prefer 'offset connesuir' though lol

ill throw up a thread about the car if CVR4 would like that

Such a breath if fresh air. Everyone around here runs 215/45/17 on 17x7 45mm wheels and is happy with them.

    Another sweeping generalisation there Brad?

To take your quote literally, not 'everyone' runs 215/45/17. I would say the vast majority here run on bigger tyres; 225 or 235 is probably what most people run. Also, I think it would be a very small number of VR4 owners that run on 17x7 wheels. Most VR4 are either running on stocks (not 17x7), Evo wheels (not 17x7) or total aftermarket jobbies (not 17x7). I will happily accept that there are people who run these 'unacceptable' sized wheel/tyre combinations. How dare they?!? But if they are happy with them, whats the problem?

You know me, I like making sweeping generalisations that are completely true.

At least most of the wheels aren't rusty, neither do they have torque converters that are likely to fail at any time or add 40kg of weight to the car while sapping 7% power.

I like both sets of wheels personally. Although I think the gtr wheels make the rear camper even more obvious.
