Tempting, very tempting. Can anyone recommend a company that does daily track cover as I would want to make sure I can get fully covered before I book anything?

Pace Ward do cover for just £60 a day if you are insured with them......not much use if you're not, but worth swapping to them if you intend to do several trackdays a year.

I guess you can expect to pay approx £100-£130 a day, and the excess is often 10% of the value of the car

I have done plenty of track days before, just all in Evos & last one was about 3 years ago. I wasn't bothered then, but as I need the VR4 to get about outside of work I would rather have the piece of mind. When I used to do them, I was either being paid to in one of the company Evos (so didnt care if I came off) or when I used my own, at least I had spare cars if the worst did happen.

The trouble is, I would love to go & think I would be sensible, but reality is, when I get there, it aint gonna happen

I used Richard Egger Insurance Services to cover my car for the visit to the 'Ring at the beginning of the month.

Must admit I am a bit tempted with this one ... was just talking to someone yesterday about Brands and the fact I have never done it. He's a fairly regular track dayer (owns a Westfield) and says Brands is a great circuit.

Shame it's so close to Xmas ...

Yep Wayne, Brands certainly is a good circuit - only done the Indy circuit thus far in the old silver VR4. It even snowed as we left at the end of a very cold day. That was the day one idiot driver knocked about £40k off the value of his 360 CS !

Fingers crossed the weather is kind for anyone going in December.

Passed the Brands Hatch turn off on the way to Bluewater shopping centre with Kate yesterday and I was surprised just how close to here it is. Tempted ... just not sure I can justify spending the £££ that close to Xmas as the credit cards have taken a bit of battering recently.

Had a long look at this last night and came up with a negative. The distance just puts me off. Id rather add the petrol bill to the £99 and do Donnington again. There is quite a few decently priced Donnington days coming up if you fancied that?
