They are the same as the v6. Any motor factors should get you one.

Dan you have to undo the tension pully which is a pig to get at because it`s level with the chasis, undo that then undo the adjuster that goes throw it which is just above the wheel. Once you do that it should just go back on, but do not over tighten the belt when you put it back together. BTW the belt goes over the tension pully.

Yes you do bud, It`s something like a 12 or 13m spanner I think? then just undo that nut a couple of turns as you don`t need to undo it fully just enough to get the adjuster to move which is just above it.

I can`t remember which way it takes the wheel down. If you look from above you will see a large bolt which goes through the centre of the tension wheel which just sites behind it, just keep undoing that until you can get your belt on.

Once that`s done do up just the large bolt until the belt can be twisted approx 90 degree`s or so, just do not over tighten it because you will do the alternator bearing in. When that`s done re-tighten the tension wheel, job done!

Mine let go this morning, on route to work.

So of to Halfords, no joy, but thankfully SouthSide had. Thanks to one of the guys from work.

Managed to get the car from the car park to the multi storey in work, out of the lashing rain.

Another easy job completed... only a few grazes from this one

If you're alternator belt has let go, it's worth inspecting the other belts.

The timing belt was done recently, and the aircon looks good, I think the alternator one was over tensioned, the tensioner was far to tight, even for a warn belt
