if the search function is changed to be less than 4 chars it will pick nearly every word in every thread which would swamp the system more so if you use words like the

using sites like ebay you can use brackets etc to aid your search, is there anything like that with this site. I'm trying to find out the fitting of the standard oil pressure switch (i.e BSP or NPT) and want to find threads that contain "fitting" and "BSP" if I'm right the search as standard finds all threads with "fitting" or "BSP"?
