    I have a question please. What does this tell you First column (96) Then A) EC5A B) 000185 C) SNGF D) 004 E) TO8C F) 14X G) 1996083.

I know this is a Galant & its a manual but am I correct in saying G is when it was built?

    Thanks.

Yep, August 1996, 3rd 10 day production period.
If I'm replying to your thread and helping you out, it is because I like you and want to help out your VR-4 ownership. No other reason

It isn't a VR-4 though, it is a UK car so there will be a Z in it somewhere. Those are completely different, and we only have VR-4's here.

My car is an early facelift, chassis EC5W 02....
    Option 118, interior 80E.

The car originally had the cold pack, no mmcs, no moonroof, roof bars, beige leather with wood wheel, dash, gear lever and handbrake. The tints are what I'd describe as "normal", not the silly dark ones. Hope that helps!

Is it 0200456 or 0200664? Those are the only 02 ones with 118 and 80E

Note - the normal dark tints that are 20% aren't considered the UV ones, they are about 5% tints and really really dark.

Can we sticky this please? It's a rather major project and deserves it IMHO.

Do roof-rails count as an option when present or removed? Mine is a 000 but does not have roof rails.

Danny, that's a parking pole and I believe is quite a rare factory option. Will need to add it as an option on the spreadsheet

I'm leaning towards retaining the different code references per classification just for the fact it covers the odd models like the Super. Remember I'm trying to expand this beyond VR4s. Jase is there no easy way to transfer the spreadsheet data between online docs? If not would it be better to use Office Live as it should handle the Excel side more closely.

I'm still attempting to decode the VIN.BIN file in the newer ASA as it has many more entries than the CAPS version, if anyone is good at disassembly I could do with some help as I need to find out how to cross-reference the two supporting files and figure disassembling the exe may be the easiest way.

EDIT: Thanks to whoever made it sticky.

    PFL auto in Sophia White

Option code 008, interior 14J (which should be cloth).
Has roof racks, AYC, TCL and the high vis dash. Also has standard side tinted windows. There are two plugs in the boot that looked like they connected to some sort of tuner for the aerials, but there is no power loom for a tuner from what I can see?

Also has the stainless steel door sills, but I think that was a dealer option and as such won't show in ASA.

Brad, that was in a different thread. I'm hoipng Alex will re-post here with the addtitional details.

Jason, we could do with a base template for responses in order to more efficiently process the data. I'm back in work now but as long as things are quiet I should be able to do some more on it. Let me know if I can do anything.

    Hi Corin,

If you've got the time, can you fill in the form I just put in the first post and send it to me via PM, including your chassis code? That or just your chassis code by PM if you're in a rush
