    Tyre size for VR4 ?

Is the standard stock tyre size for the 8G VR4 205/50/16 ?

What is the next tyre size upgrade for the above ?

    Thanks

Thinking of Modding, eh? What's the spec of your car at the moment? Lowered at all? This may affect your choice. Why not show us a piccie! :-D Anyway.... To answer your questions..

If you click the resources tab, there's a link to 'Specifications'. You can find this information there.

As regards upgrades, a search should reveal all the answers you should ever need! :-b

205 is the Type V and 225 is the Type S, both 16's as standard though.

Oh, Type V is usually a manual VR-4 and the Type S is usually the auto VR-4, there is some inbreeding, but the above is the general idea.

225 on 17's is the best or should I say 'functional' upgrade.

    Thanks for the tip

So to say 205/50/16 for tupe V and 225/50/16 for Type S ?

Both size using 50 profile tyres ?

If I upgrade from 205/50/16 to 225/50/16 tyres...will the car be slower and road noise like tyre roar louder ?

    Thanks again for answering.

VR4 sport rims finishing difference for 99' and 2000 model ?

I think I've seen different finishing for the same wheel design.....are there two types of finishing for the same design sport rims for the 8G VR4 ?

That would be 205/55/16 and 225/50/16....

I have just upgraded from the 205 to the 225.

No noticeable difference in feel or sound, but grip levels have improved greatly. :-D

That may well just be the new choice of tyre though, and nothing to do with the change in size... :rolleyes5

There are usually two different *types* of wheel fitted as standard, one five spoke and one multi-spoke design. The finish can be different.

What year is your VR-4? Post a pic of the wheels you've got and I should be able to tell you what type they are.

I will have to take a pic later as digicam not with me now.
My wheel is the five spoke version..but with a slight sheen and black inner surface...I think this is the facelifted version of this rim design.

I think the 55 profile looks kind of weird with the standard factory 16" rims and lowered suspension....I think 50 profile 225/16 factory rims as above will look better...right ?
