I do not offer delivery, this is for collection only. I am not breaking the car, I am only selling complete.

This is a 1988/9 model Mitsubishi Eterna ZR4 (Basically a Galant VR4 hatchback)

I don't know how many of these were ever imported, but I believe it to be very rare!

I have had this car for a long while, always intending to get it back on the road but have never got round to it. Due to moving soon, I am now putting up for sale as either a project or to be broken up.

This has the 4G63 engine, which is the same as in the EVO 1/2/3 series car and will fit in the early Colts. While I was driving the car it lost power, and upon investigating it appears the cambelt has stripped the teeth, resulting in valve/piston contact. No stripping of the car has been done, apart from the cambelt cover. I have no idea of the internal damage, but the engine is not seized.

Bodywork in reasonable condition, no rust that I can see, I think the sills could do with underseal though. Laquer peeling on bonnet, and car could do with a clean/polish!

The exhaust back box has rusted at the joint, and is in the car.

All tyres need replacement due to age. Brakes are rusty but not seized on.

When driving this was a very quick car, and a good base for tuning. This is permanent 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steer. Disc brakes all round.

Car has electric windows x4, central locking, electric folding mirrors, power steering, ABS, air conditioning. Everything fitted was working when the car was last used, and air con was updated to R134a gas.

Number plate is worth money on it's own!

This is the same engine that was used in the Starion and the back end of this looks the same, I wouldn't be surprised if the tailgate was interchangeable.|Inthe late 80's Mitsi did have a 4WD version of the starion that they made by using the transfer case from the Pajero which meant the engine could be mounted much further back than in, say, the Audi at the time.

Just thought you'd like to know in case someone buys it.

nah not the same as starion.. same engine number but this DOHC version was a 4G63B... also i thought the tredia and cordia were the only 4wd passenger vehicles at the time all the starion gsr gsrII here were rwd??? either way.. slap a 16g td05 in there and evo 3 ecu, afm and injectors.. and a LOW 12 is not unheard of.

Think your right Mark. Wayne was going to have a look at this & the RVR for me but I decided against them. My thought was to make the 6G into a track slag but I thought that it would be more work & money than it was worth.

The Evo 1 engine was a big temptation Cause many off the shelf parts to get big power
