    i will have a look at getting some sockets/washers of the correct size to press out front suspension bushes. i have a couple of old front suspension arms, so i can have a go at those to make sure it is dooable with my small hydraulic press.
    or yeh i forgot say i have a 4 ton portable hydraulic press for getting bushes out. just need to get the correct pressing plates to apply the pressure in the right place.

    It was nice to see you all again, sorry for leaving so early but I had to keep eyes on my little girl when miss earning money (someone has to keep ship floating)
    You guys done tremendous amount of work on Barry car, I cant believe when Barry ring me later and say that you still on it.
    Hopefully next time, big jobs like ARBs, brakes, decats, etc we will be able to do on our very own ramp

    what is ramp mans favoured tipple, i know he likes a drink after talking to last time he was there.

    Unfortunatly i can't do the 5th, its Ethans 10th birthday - This month i am purchasing the springs and bits needed for my spec clutch (rather than buying a new one) - including the engine mounts and suspension poly bushes I have again quite a list of things to do - I might just do the suspension at home and flirt along to next NW meet for clutch?

    that was my thought!

    but if anyone of us is the man to ask about gear box outage it is adam, he has done it once or twice.

    but after the ARB change on barry's car, it would be relatively easy to change adams, well it should be dooable but i think the ones adam has are thicker than ones barry fitted.
    but it should only be a case of dropping the front subframe a bit, to create a bit more room over the transfer case to slide it in. or will it, no it would have to be a undo on the rear engine roolstopper to allow the engine/tranfer case drop indipendantly of the subframe, as it is that gap that is tight.

    Hehe, I've done two clutch jobs now - providing I get there early i recon 6 hours - maybe with ramp an air tools it would be quicker, only ever done it on the drive, on axle stands.....

    But if you think it's to much of a job, I could reconsider, i just fancy using ramp and air tools to do the job

    the only issue is, if you have a problem, you will not be going anyware in the car for a while.

    as long as you have done the gear box out job in this car before, you will know all the bolts are going to undo and there areno stripped threads or any other damage to any of the parts which could cause you problems.
    is the vr4 your daily drive or do you have another car you can use for work.
    just thinking of the possible issues.

    if you need 225/40/18's you will have to give karl a shout to try and save you some as they seem to be like rocking hose doo doo. a very popular size.
    but i think he has quite a few 235/45/17 last time we were there but that was a month ago.
