[SFX] ECU Diagnostic and Tuning Services

Hi all,

This thread is just a formalisation and feedback thread of the ECU flashing services I offer.

Services offered in the West Midlands area;

• Reading and clearing of EFI (Engine) / ABS / AYC ECU fault codes
• Live logging of the above ECUs and Innovate Wideband o2 sensors (if fitted)
• Live Air / Fuel ratio readings, diagnose faulty o2 / lambda sensors
• Log analysis services and a copy of the logs emailed
• Tuning / Reflashing services for all VR-4 ECUs (7201, H8/539, 7202 and 7203)
• Tuning / Reflashing services for Galant N/A V6 ECUs
• Tuning / Reflashing services for FTO V6 GPX ECUs
• Tuning / Reflashing services for all VR-4 autobox ECUs for faster shifts

Rates are as follows;

• £80 for the first hour (minimum of 1 hour)
• £10 per 15 minutes thereafter (billed in 15 minute blocks)
• Travel expenses are billed at £1/mile
• Additional £5 charge if you want either of Kens ROMs flashing;
  
  1. Version 1.03 which adds CEL-on-knock, larger fuelling / ignition timing maps, launch control, anti-lag and no-lift-to-shift
  2. Version 2.0 which adds CEL-on-knock, switchable maps (of which launch control / anti-lag / valet mode etc can be implemented)

The £5 charge for Kens ROMs is to support him in his development of adding new features. Please note that Kens ROMs do not work on early pre-facelift 7201 ECUs (metal case variety). All black plastic (H8/539 / 7202 / 7203) support these mods.

Please note the following:

• This is an evenings-and-weekends service only and my day job comes first
• It is your responsibility to make sure your car is ready to be tuned ie. no misfiring etc - you will still be charged (but with a 50% discount) if your car is unfit for tuning
• I take no responsibility if something goes bang (or worse) from reflashing / remapping an ECU
• Remaps provided will aim towards the safe / conservative side, I will not push it to the limit
• Backups of the ECU will be taken and made available on Dropbox in case of it needing to be restored later
• Anyone requiring a reflash / remapping will be required to confirm they understand all of the above before I do any work

Do you provide remote support? I am in Chicago and own a 97 PFL VR4. I currently have a 7201 ECU installed and just purchased a 7202 ECU that needs to be re-flashed. Thanks for you time.
