    fwd box on vr4 block?

hi guys I recently got myself a galant 2.5 fwd gearbox to go in my vr4 powered Fto. I am just trying to get a heads up on any issues I may come up against. Like, drive shafts, will the Fto drive shafts fit?
starter motor, I think on the vr4 the starter is mounted on the gearbox but mine has it mounted to the block like it was on the Fto. Is this the same for the galant box? Will I need a new sandwich plate to match the new gearbox? I have an Fto one atm. The guy I got the box from said something about modding the bell housing. The Fto box bolted right on . Any reason why this one won't?

    many thanks
    Greg

The box will bolt straight on. But, you'll need a deferent back plate, and you will need to mod the front turbo actuator link as it will foul with the clutch slave cylinder. Starter mounts on box below the front. Not sure on drive shafts but there is a guy called Zentac on here that did this to an fto and will know the answer.

    Edit/ I'm assuming here the VR4 engine is a 6A13tt

Just another thoght, clutch and flywheel, I used one off a FWD v6 galant. Clutch was an uprated (FTO I believe) from RPW. Dont think it will like a VR4 clutch / flywheel.

manual V6 N/A boxes use the standard 225mm clutch (push type), as used in other FWD Mitsis too.
the one and only...Pearl White Legnum 25 ST-R...registered in Germany - now featuring a 6A13TT engine (unless you know otherwise)
