Hey I’m new here so sorry if I don’t know exactly what I’m talking about, but I recently bought a galant vr4 and was wondering what it exactly is. Here’s its model no EC5A SYGF 2 and here’s the chassis EC5A-0100408 year 1998 thank you

    EC5A is a 4WD 2.5l saloon.
SYGF2 suggests a super VR4. (Do you have a bit of factory spoiler kit, Recaro front seats, red carpet, purple highlights on the backlit dash?)
All super VR4's are mechanically a prefacelift auto with AYC, the "nice" bits are all bolt on things purely for cosmetics.
It is Hamilton Silver (A71) and is actually a second week of December 1997 car, although that is when it got to the end of the production line so more than likely was never driven until 1998.

    Does that help?

Oh it does have all that, awesome thank you for the help regarding the car. Is the super vr4 a type of special edition or something?

It's effectively a special edition yes. Nothing different mechanically but some aesthetic differences. I'd suggest starting an owners thread with some photos and we can help dissect your car!
