    Older HP server

Hey guys, I'm looking for an older HP server as I'm starting my MCITP studies and I'd really like to use independent hardware. It needs to run Server 2008.

Basic specs will need to be a dual core processor, at least 2GB RAM. I'm not concerned about HDDs - I have SCSI ones sitting here with caddies from my old P3 server that will just slot in.

Ideally not wanting to spend more than $100.

'96 Legnum VR-4 in Sophia White, car mods:
600x300x76 Intercooler, genuine HKS SSQV BOV, 17" DTM Demon wheels, 3" catback RPS Evo 4-6.5 exhaust with no cat, 3" post-IC hard pipe kit, 7203 ECU
    Coming up: TD04's.

Yeah I was looking at the Dells, but I already have the caddies and CBF paying extra for the Dell caddies.

I ended up with a dual Opteron 1U server for $6 in the end - runs Win 2008 R2 mint

My main machine only has 8GB RAM, and the materials are in eBooks - so if I ran them as VMs, I would have to keep switching back and forth, and that's a pain.

With independent hardware, I can repurpose it for my NAS afterwards (or other studies) and have it beside me on my other screen. The other machines I have are Core 2 Duos that don't quite cut the requirements of 2 VMs at a time.
