edit post??

not sure if this is to do with my computer or not but when i have tries=d to edit my posts over the last few weeks i have always stuggled.

When i click the button the page refreshes but it wont let me type any thing, the box where i should type my post is eith grey or blue with nothing in it...

does any one have any ideas?

Hi Dan mate,

What browser are you using for this? I have no problem editing posts.

It used to be that you couldn't edit posts after 1-2 weeks (not sure of the exact timescale) after it was last edited, although that recently changed and you can now edit the first post (the starting post of a thread), but that feature isn't retrospectively applied to posts before the switchover. You have to request with a moderator for them to apply that feature.

i use explore, the one that came on my computet when i bout it 4 months ago.

i have always been able to edit my posts in the past, its only the last two or three weeks this has nit been the case,
what is my cache, and how do i empty it?

as ou may be able to tell im not the 100% computer orientated lol,

Barry, further to the PM i have sent you, i have just tried clearing my cache again and noticed that the option marked 'preserve favorite websites data' was ticked.

i have unticked the option and tried again, this seems to have cleared the problem and i can post again.

Maybe try installing the chrome app, then try?

i am useing skyfire, as it will play quite a lot of flash video.

but i will try chrome to see if makes a difference.

I have the same issue here on work PC.. For Edit and reply to post.

If i click the Edit button twice though it works. And the Reply to post just greys out, but the Quick post reply seems to work. I'll try emptying the cache

wodge, i have cleared my chache and now i have no problems maybe you need to do the same.
just make sure you leave the option toremember faverite website data unticked.

yep But 1 click just gives me a blue area with nowhere to type.. No worries, it's only on work PC. I can live with it

Its the same for me regardless of cache clearing, double clicking got me to this area to type this response!
