    Interesting deal at Halfrauds.

Halfords (steady, Steve!!) are doing a seemingly good deal at the moment, a bundle deal on a workshop style tool chest and a socket set. Total price is usually £809.98. If you buy the three things together then you get them for £399. I was already interested. They just sent me a code which takes 10% off the price if you buy online. I added the code, and it took 10% of the original price. So £81 off, giving a total of £318 to pay.

    This is the bundle:
    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...dustrialbundle

    And this is the code:
    PREF262410

No idea if/how long it will work for, but it might help someone.

    that's a great deal Nick.

I think I can get another 10% off that as well!

Just need to see if I can afford it.

Good find. I got a deal on the cheaper 'red' toolbox top and bottom for £200, and another deal on that socket set for £80. Your link looks even better!

These Halfords boxes are pretty good, and their hand tools are fantastic. I've replaced quite a few bits for free thanks to their lifetime guarantee

I like the professional range of tools too. The only thing that has ever broken though is a ratchet. And to be fair it was wear and abuse that has deformed the teeth on the mechanism more than anything else, so I just bought a ratchet repair kit and replaced that bit.

Seems a fairly good deal for sure, but why do they continue to leave out 16mm + 18mm spanners and socket. for years they are the most common sizes on jap cars

I can, when I've rounded a rusty 17mm or 19mm nut, they don't tend to last long after getting beaten on with a big club hammer though

I have to admit I needed a 22mm spanner a couple of years ago the same day (Ebay out then) so I had to go in to H......... ...... ....

and bought said spanner...it concerned me when they asked me if I wanted it fitted...

Hey, thinking about it - how about I buy you one and you just give me your Vipec? Got to be worth it?

The 150 piece toolkit on its own is £89.99, and using the code B14MT03 brings it down to £80.99

I'm rather tempted at that price, my cheapo £10 Phaze socket set has served me well bit I've been paid and look at how shiny it is!

Not as good an offer as in post 1, but there is a half price tools offer with a further 15% off web orders at the moment.

Less than half price on some of the advanced/professional range!
