    Forged Engine Build Pictures

    Figured Id grab a few snaps of the progress I made this weekend on the Forged 6A13TT I'm piecing together for Carls (@patryn999) Galant

    Honing the block


    The mains tunnel after line honing and final wash up


    Block after being honed, surfaced, final wash and painted




    ARP main studs and genuine grade 5 Mistubishi bearings fitted to the block and mains cradle



    Balanced and polished crankshaft all cleaned up and dropped into place



    A1 Technologies H11 11mm 4G63T head studs fitted


    Setting the ring gap


    I also measured the Big end bearing clearances. was going to check the piston to head clearance but the PRISM rods were a fraction too wide to fit into the crank journal so Ill have to give them a lick with the surface grinder tomorrow and then the short block is all ready to go together.
    I've ported the heads and they have been surfaced, and have a performance valve seat job done. just waiting on the correct valve springs to arrive and then the heads can go together and go onto the block
    Should have the 280deg 12mm lift billet cams I made back from the heat treaters on Monday so I can finish grind those and fit them to the heads.

    pretty pissed off, today got the cams back from the heat treaters.
    the wan**rs droped 2/4 of the cams when they came out of the furnace so 2 of them are buggered. now I have to make another 2 cams!

    Thats not cool. Are they happy with the expensive bill, being Billet cams and all lol

    Not sure whats going to happen with compensation, that dosent really bother me its just the delay that does because the car needs to be tuned and running for a track day on the 13th of next month. all was on track until today

    Picked up the new steel to make the replacement cams today. will be a long weekend infront of a lathe for me to get back to square one

    yep about 280 degrees and 12.1 mm of lift. should sound pretty angry

    Can't wait to hear it I've got 272 cams there pretty lumpy would love 280 282 are these cams reproducible?

    Yes I make camshafts for a living. can do custom profiles for more or less anything.
