    6A13TT head stretch bolts

Yes, some think it's easier to build a time machine, but have got head gaskets from Japan and was going to attempt the job this weekend, but now somebody has mentioned stretch bolts! As torque settings are 20nm + 120 degrees + 120 degrees, apparently the degrees indicate the use of stretch bolts that need to be renewed. Can anyone confirm or deny this? What would be outcome if reuse old ones? And where can I get new at reasonable price?

The limit appears to be 96.4mm according to the EUDM manual for the non-turbo engine.

Yes, they're stretch bolts, more correctly known as torque to yield. If they're within spec you can reuse them, but why would you risk it. A set of replacements cost me about $200 NZD for reference.

Yes they are fairly cheap http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/35105...13=80&ff14=108 but sometimes its overlooked and there is no time to wait for them to arrive.

I reused them on front bank and they good so far (about 15k miles) they all not exceed factory spec.

Also I hope you having the heads skimmed/machined. The MLS head gaskets our engines use require a specific surface finish on the mating surfaces or they will no seal properly.
