this is what most people strut tops will be looking like, just a thin skin of paint holding things together.

where did you get you donor strut tops from?

You have to be really careful removing that much metal ian one small misalignment and the suspension mounting point can through off your top arm geometry.
the alignment of the suspension top mount does not really matter as we have double wishbone suspension the suspension strut only does the spring and shock travel and rebound it does not control wheel alignment unlike the McPherson strut arrangement.
it is just the top arm mount point you have to be really careful of.
as that could knock your cast and camber out.
but you will find out if it has all gone well when you a full wheel alignment done.
i wish i had done my two cars with full strut top replacements.
it would have been much easier than cutting out , forming and welding plates on there.
