what hoses are you talking about?
if you are talking about the two vac/boost hoses that go to the elbow you have pictured in the second picture above.
they go to the boost solenoide T piece.
and
the power steering helper valve for at idle conditions.
Bye for Now!
Thanks Dave, they are the one's that i was saying about, Had a boost leak and replaced one hope that sorts it

Well done mate, all the hard work paid off then.
Hehe, actually this was the laziest year car jobs wise, and just did 4k since last mot. But it will be busy this year, hopefully with your help in td04 gathering dust past 2 or even more years and more unfinished projects will be completed.
Actually i drive this car first time past few weeks abd it scares me, again!
Btw it just remind me that i still have unwrapped Christmas gift for vr4, sard r2d2 :-)

Start preparing car for car show, starting with badly faded cf bonnet which is a bit odd as it did tops 30k miles and it's about 6 years old and spend most of its life in garage.
That's how it looks like b4 my attempt

Merzena and polisher did good job, actually I was so happy with results that I was keep going and did whole car and waxed it after. Tomorrow will be very painful day for my hands, and with week to Japfest it probably needs to be washed and waxed again.
Impressive!!
that is an amazing difference.
i stuck the door moding back on my car today so i am ready for japfest, lol.
I took my wheels off and cleaned them (old wheels on for a week) and painted the top rad supports.
that is far to much work.
i might wash the rust on my car with full fat coke, it works wornders.
it doesn't cure the rust but it rooves all traces of rust stains.
I just leave the holes behind.

It's unique and nicely done! Not sure if I'm really into it though. It sure does match to the Cibies headlight though!
Change wheels back to rotas now and while I was there I change front pads, glad I did this as old ones was on last legs and propobly not bring me safety back from japfest

I'm pretty much ready to go to Japfest, just interior to go over.
With al the talk of washing and polishing of cars for japfest I was shamed onto doing the unthinkable.
Right stop right there your minds are running away with you now, don't be silly I did not wash and polish my car. That is just a step to far.
I did however get a toothbrush out and some Cif clearer and set to work on the rust patch/stain on the rear arch, it cleaned it off completely, the rust bubble are still there obviously but no rust colour.
This a great result.
This did through up another unforeseen major issue, I now have a clean spot on the car. I might have to do it and take the plung, wash the car.
I just don't know what to do, I could leave the patch clean and hope it dirties up before Sunday or I could try and dirty it up myself, but then I run the risk of making other clean spots.
It is a nightmare.
So much to do and no time to do it.

You cleaned a part of your car Dave? Miracles can happen!
I would suggest mixing a bit of water and some dirt/soil together in a spray bottle before spraying it over the clean area. That should help it to look dirty again.
